Thronderlag

Thronderlag was the gathering place of the Throndar, the legendary progenitors of the Nordic realm. Here, overlooking the sea, the clans would assemble on the cold spring equinox to resolve their disputes, choose a target for summertime raiding, and elect a warleader. Today the Nord king takes counsel mainly with a select group of his jarls in his hall, and such great assemblies are no longer held, but Thonderlag remains the symbolic center of the Nordvyg.
