The dromakion is a somewhat smaller version of the dromon. The keel and frame do not bear anywhere near as much weight as the dromon, and do not require the building techniques that are jealously guarded by imperial shipwrights. Consequently, it is in wide use across south and east Calradia, by Aserai, Khuzaits and the more cost-conscious imperial archons.
