Dhow

The dhow, and ships built on the same lines, have been sailing the seas of southern Calradia for over a thousand years, its distinctive silhouette appearing in carvings on Kannic tomb walls. The triangular lateen sail that is now almost universally carried by dhows is a more recent invention, allowing these ships to catch seasonal winds blowing out of the Nahhasa desert or the mountains to their north parallel to the main trade routes.
