Lochana
Lochana is named for a castle that guards the Carcasos river. Along with Epinosa, its twin on the opposite bank, it forms the centuries-old border defense of this far-flung corner of empire against raiders from the north. The nearby sea tempers the cold of the northern winters here, allowing the cultivation of mulberry bushes for silk.
