Ethemisa

Ethemisa lies in a low valley in the Thymian Hills. This region was once barren and mostly deserted, save for the hermits and visionaries who made their homes in its limestone caves. Ethemisa was home to some of the first permanent migrants, who tapped wells on the valley floor to irrigate their fields. According to legend, they demanded that one of the holy recluses here serve as their leader and guide them to virtue. At first he refused, but Heaven sent a flock of goats to follow him everywhere, disturbing his solitude, until he at least repented.
