West Osgiliath

The western ruins of the ancient capital on the Anorien bank of the Anduin, held by Gondorian forces as a forward defensive position despite being mostly abandoned after the Great Plague. The western side of the shattered bridge connects to a causeway leading toward Minas Tirith, with Rangers maintaining a garrison among the ruins to prevent Mordor from using the crossing. Haunted by memories of former glory when it was Gondor's greatest city for over a thousand years.
