The Sand-Riders

The Sand-Riders are the nomadic desert clans of the deep Harad interior, masters of the waterless wastes between the Ephel Dúath and the distant southern sea. They range across routes known only to themselves, demanding tribute from any caravan bold enough to cross their territory. The settled lords of Near Harad treat them as a nuisance; the Sand-Riders consider the settled lords thieves who stole what the desert had already given freely.
