The Serpent Guard are mounted soldiers in the service of the Serpentlord of Near Harad. Bred in the saddle on the rolling plains south of the Ephel Dúath, they are unmatched as horse-archers in all of Middle-earth's southern lands. In times of peace between Harad and Mordor, the Guard hires its services to Haradrim lords and to any other power rich enough to afford their golden fee.
